Description
The Snom M900 Outdoor brings the M900 multicell platform into an enclosure meant for outdoor use, mounted on a wall or ceiling and rated for operation from -20 to 60 °C. It joins an M900 installation with the same built-in DECT manager, seamless handover between bases, handset roaming and synchronisation over DECT or the local network, with no dedicated manager. The installation can reach 4,000 bases and 16,000 handsets, with a shared directory of 3,000 entries. Each base handles 8 simultaneous calls in multicell mode (4 wideband) or 10 as a single base (5 wideband). The G.722, G.711 and G.726 codecs come as standard, with G.729, Opus and BV32 added by the optional DSP module. TLS encryption, RJ45 10/100 port, PoE 802.3af power, injector not included.

Use and tips
The M900 Outdoor completes an M900 installation wherever handsets must stay reachable outside the buildings: car parks, logistics yards, loading docks, industrial sites, campuses, exhibition grounds. Fix it to a wall or to the ceiling of a canopy and bring the network in over a PoE cable; the injector is not supplied, and the 5 V / 2 A power adapter (ref. 4439) is available as an option. The rugged M80 and M85 handsets are the best fit for these areas. For indoor spaces, use the standard M900, which is more compact.
