The Snom M55 is the DECT handset of the M500 series. It registers on the Snom M500 multi-cell base and benefits from seamless handover and roaming to follow the user across the whole site. The 2.4-inch color display (240 x 320 pixels) comes with 6 programmable keys with dual-color LEDs, 3 context-sensitive keys, a backlit dialpad and 5-way navigation. HD wideband audio is available on the handset and through a headset, wired on the 3.5 mm jack or wireless over Bluetooth; the handset is hearing aid compatible. The shared directory holds up to 500 entries and the private directory 200, with 3-way conferencing. The 1,500 mAh lithium-ion battery lasts 12 hours of HD talk time, 19 hours in narrowband and about 240 hours in standby. Integrated belt clip, USB-cable charger with a 5 V / 2 A power adapter.

Use and tips
The M55 is aimed at SMBs and mid-sized sites running a Snom M500 base: medical practice, dealership, store, small factory. The 6 programmable keys act as speed dials or busy indicators to reach a colleague with one press, and Bluetooth lets you work with a wireless headset. Each handset ships with its charger; plan one socket per charging spot. For outdoor use or wet and dusty environments, choose the M56, the IP67 version with alarm and man-down function.

Which base stations is this handset compatible with?

Can I use a wireless headset?
Yes, the M55 has built-in Bluetooth for a wireless headset. A wired headset plugs into the 3.5 mm jack. HD wideband audio is kept in both cases.
