The Snom M70 is a versatile DECT handset designed for unlimited mobility in the workplace. Very light (120 g) and compact (118 x 48 x 22 mm), it is also exceptionally sturdy thanks to its build quality and protective outer coating: compliant with the MIL-STD-810G industrial standard, it withstands drops up to 2 meters and operates from -10 to +50 °C. The 2-inch color display (240 x 320 pixels) stays readable, and the handset is hearing aid compatible. An alarm button lets a lone worker trigger an alert whenever needed, in case of danger, assault or unusual event. The headset connects through the 3.5 mm jack or over Bluetooth. The battery provides 17 hours of narrowband talk time and 200 hours (10 days) of standby. Belt clip included; charging base (ref. 4510), battery (ref. 3932) and spare clip (ref. 4521) available.

Use and tips

The M70 is the companion of staff who move from the office to the warehouse or outdoors: storekeepers, technicians, roaming reception staff, security guards. Its low weight makes it unnoticeable on the belt, and the alarm button reassures people working alone. It registers on a Snom M300, M700 or M900 base; on a large site, the M900 multi-cell system keeps calls continuous. If the environment is wet or dusty, step up to the IP65-rated M80; for healthcare settings, to the antibacterial M90.

Which base stations is this handset compatible with?

What is the alarm button for?

It is an SOS button for lone workers: one press automatically triggers an alarm, to be used as soon as a danger, an assault or an unusual event arises.
