Description
The Snom M85 is a DECT handset built for industrial environments, indoors and outdoors. Its IP65 housing withstands shocks, splashes and dust, and it operates from -15 to +55 °C. Paired with a Snom base station, it brings lone worker protection functions: the man-down function triggers an alarm or a call through its position sensors, the emergency button acts after a 3-second press, and the cord alarm fires if the cord is pulled from the handset. These functions are set up in the base station's web interface, independently of the IP PBX (firmware V355B25 and hardware revision R2D or later). The 2-inch color display (176 x 220 pixels), 6 polyphonic ringtones with vibrating alert, the 3.5 mm jack and Bluetooth for a headset complete the package. The battery lasts 17 hours of talk time and about 200 hours in standby. Belt clip included.

Use and tips
The M85 is designed for staff who work alone or in hazardous areas: security rounds, maintenance, logistics, industrial sites, construction. The man-down and cord alarms alert a colleague or the guard post without going through the PBX. It registers on a Snom M300, M400, M700 or M900 base; for multi-cell coverage of a large site, prefer the M900 with its indoor and outdoor versions. A spare battery (ref. 3932), a belt clip (ref. 4352) and a charging base with power adapter (ref. 4339 + 4133) are available.

Which base stations is this handset compatible with?
With the Snom M300, M400, M700 and M900 DECT base stations, sold separately. The base station connects to any SIP-compatible IP PBX or VoIP service. Tell us about your setup through our contact page and we confirm compatibility before you order.
How do the lone worker alarms work?
Three triggers: the man-down function (position sensors), the emergency button held for 3 seconds and the cord alarm. Each one starts an alarm or a call configured in the Snom base station's web interface, without relying on the PBX. The base must run firmware V355B25 or later and hardware revision R2D.
What is the warranty?
Two-year statutory conformity warranty, plus the Snom manufacturer warranty under its own terms.
