Description
The Snom M900 is the base station for large multicell DECT installations. Its built-in DECT manager controls every base in an installation without a dedicated server and provides seamless handover: an ongoing call moves from one base to the next, including across floors or buildings, without dropping, with handset roaming. Synchronisation runs over DECT or over the local network. One installation accepts up to 4,000 bases and 16,000 handsets (30 per base), with a shared directory of 3,000 entries. Each base handles 8 simultaneous calls in multicell mode, 4 of them wideband, or 10 calls as a single base. The G.722, G.711 and G.726 codecs are included; the optional DSP module adds G.729, Opus and BV32. RJ45 10/100 connection, PoE 802.3af power, TLS encryption, desk or wall mounting.

Use and tips
The M900 is the right choice as soon as coverage exceeds what one or two bases can provide: hospital, clinic, hotel, warehouse, factory, campus or public administration spread over several buildings. Each base connects to a PoE switch; the 5 V / 2 A power adapter (ref. 4439) remains available for locations without PoE. Pair it with the Snom M25, M30, M65, M70, M80, M85 or M90 handsets depending on the job, and with the M900 Outdoor base for exterior areas. Before installation, the M900 DECT survey kit helps position the bases.

Which PBX or provider does this equipment work with?

Is a separate DECT manager or server required?
No. The DECT manager is built into the M900 base: it administers every base in the installation, up to 4,000, and handles handover and roaming between them.
What is the warranty?
