Description
The Snom M80 is the all-round DECT handset for indoor and outdoor use. Light (138 g) and compact (122 x 48 x 22 mm), it owes its sturdiness to a special highly resistant sleeve, IP65 certified against dust and water splashes and compliant with the MIL-STD-810G industrial standard; it withstands drops up to 2 meters and operates from -10 to +55 °C. It therefore fits the office as well as a warehouse, a construction site or outdoor areas exposed to the weather. The 2-inch color display (240 x 320 pixels) and hearing aid compatibility ease daily use. The SOS alarm button lets a lone worker trigger an alert in case of danger, and the vibration alarm flags calls in noisy places. The headset connects through the 3.5 mm jack or over Bluetooth LE. Battery life: 17 hours of narrowband talk time, 200 hours (10 days) of standby. Belt clip included; charging base (ref. 4511), battery (ref. 3932) and spare clip (ref. 4521) available.

Use and tips
The M80 is aimed at exposed trades: logistics, production, construction, landscaping, maintenance of outdoor sites, where a standard handset would not survive shocks, dust and rain. The SOS button and the vibrating alert secure rounds and solo work. It registers on a Snom M300, M700 or M900 base; for an extensive site, the M900 multi-cell system with its outdoor version provides coverage. For healthcare settings, prefer the antibacterial M90; for man-down and cord alarms, the M85.
