Description
The Yealink W80B is the radio base station of the W80 multi-cell DECT IP system. Each base handles 8 simultaneous calls, narrowband or wideband, and covers about 50 meters indoors or 300 meters outdoors. Coordinated by the W80DM manager, up to 30 bases form a single network in which 100 handsets move freely: roaming and handover take place without interrupting the conversation. The Yealink W53H and W56H handsets are supported; repeaters are not. On the audio side, the base handles Opus and G.722 in wideband, as well as G.711, G.726, G.729 and iLBC. Connection is through a single RJ45 10/100 port with PoE power, and security relies on TLS and SRTP. The Yealink deployment toolkit helps position each base during installation.

Use and tips
The W80B is the building block you multiply to extend the coverage of a W80 system: a first base near the manager, then one per area to cover (aisle, loading dock, floor, hotel wing), up to 30 in total. Each base connects to the network over PoE, with no cabling between bases. Plan a radio survey to place the bases with enough overlap, the condition for seamless handover. The starter packs combining one manager with 2, 5 or 10 bases simplify the first order; for more than 100 handsets, move up to the W90 system.
Frequently asked questions
Which PBX or provider does this system work with?
With any SIP-compatible IP PBX or VoIP service (3CX, Asterisk, hosted Centrex). Each handset registers with its own SIP account. Tell us about your setup through our contact page and we confirm compatibility before you order.
Does this base work without a W80DM manager?
No, the W80B is offered as a slave base: it attaches to the W80DM manager, which coordinates all the bases on the site. A single manager is enough for 30 bases.
What is the warranty?
Two-year statutory conformity warranty, plus the Yealink manufacturer warranty under its own terms.
Where are the firmware, manuals and guides?
Yealink provides the firmware, user manual and administrator guide of this phone free of charge: our Yealink support page takes you straight to the documents for this model.
