Description
The Snom D785N is an IP desk phone that handles up to 12 SIP accounts. Its 4.3-inch color display shows calls and menus, and its 6 physical keys give access to 24 programmable functions, plus 4 function keys. The local phonebook stores 1,000 names and numbers. For connections, two Gigabit Ethernet ports let you chain the computer behind the phone, the USB A port takes a USB headset and the RJ4P4C connector accepts an EHS module to answer from a wireless headset. Power comes from PoE 802.3af (class 3, 10 W) or from a 5 V / 2 A adapter sold separately. The stand adjusts to 46 or 28 degrees, and a Snom 7xx series key expansion module, in black or white, can be added as an option. Management is done through the web interface.

Use and tips
The D785N suits desks that handle a steady call volume over several lines: assistants, reception, the customer service of a small business, management. Its 24 programmable keys monitor colleagues or reach direct numbers, and both the USB port and the EHS connector make headset work easier. On a PoE switch, no power adapter is needed; otherwise plan the 5 V / 2 A adapter, not included. For more keys, add the Snom 7xx series expansion module, in black or white. Snom A100 (USB) and A310 headsets are offered as accessories.
