Description

This Yealink mains adapter delivers 12 V and 1.25 A to power a T8 series desk phone: T85W, T87W, T88V, T88W or T88W Pro. It is required when the phone is connected to a switch without PoE, installed over Wi-Fi or placed on a desk where only a mains socket is available. Its 2.5-meter cable leaves a comfortable margin between the wall socket and the phone, without an extension. It also serves as a spare part for a lost or damaged adapter. This reference contains the power supply only; the phone is sold separately.

This power adapter is meant for companies that deploy Yealink T85W, T87W, T88V, T88W or T88W Pro phones without a PoE infrastructure: management office, meeting room, Wi-Fi-connected desk, phone installed at a remote worker's home. It is also a sensible spare to keep in stock to quickly replace an adapter lost during a move. Check your phone model before ordering: this power supply is intended for the 12 V T8 series, other Yealink series may use a different voltage. On a PoE switch, this adapter is not needed.

Do I need this adapter if my phone is on a PoE switch?

No, PoE powers the phone through the network cable. The mains adapter is only useful without PoE, on a Wi-Fi connection, or as a spare.
