Description
This starter pack gathers what is needed to put a Yealink W80 multi-cell DECT IP system into service: one W80DM manager and two W80B base stations. The manager, which emits no radio signal, coordinates the bases and handles up to 100 handsets, 100 SIP accounts and 100 simultaneous calls; each base provides 8 narrowband or wideband calls and covers about 50 meters indoors or 300 meters outdoors. The W53H and W56H handsets move from one base to the next without dropping the call thanks to roaming and handover. The same manager then accepts up to 30 bases, so coverage can grow as needs evolve. Each unit connects to the network through an RJ45 10/100 port with PoE power (5 V power adapter not included), mounts on the wall and handles the Opus and G.722 codecs for wideband audio.

Use and tips
This pack is meant for a store, a practice or a small hotel that wants to move to multi-cell DECT without assembling the order piece by piece. Install the manager in the technical room, spread the two bases across the areas to cover and connect everything to a PoE switch, since the power adapter is not supplied. A radio survey before installation guarantees overlap between cells, the condition for seamless handover. Then add W80B bases one at a time, up to 30, and W53H or W56H handsets as needs grow.
