The 842256 is a genuine Ricoh toner. The powder is matched to the fuser and speed of these printers: sharp text, even solids, proper fusing from the first page, and a cartridge recognized immediately (levels shown, no error message). Colors stay consistent from one cartridge to the next.

Installation
Tool-free replacement: open the cover, remove the used cartridge, take the new one out of its bag, rock it gently to distribute the toner, remove the protections, then insert until it clicks. The printer recognizes the cartridge. The used cartridge is recycled through the manufacturer's take-back program or your local collection.
Use and tips
The 842256 suits intensive or shared use: the cartridge (19,000 pages) lasts over 5 years at 300 pages per month and about a year and a half at 1,000 pages per month.
Store the cartridge in its packaging, flat, away from light and humidity, and unpack it only when installing. At the "Low" alert, order: the printer keeps printing until the replace message. Genuine cartridges preserve the printer's warranty.
