Description
The GXP1620 is a basic IP phone from Grandstream's GXP16xx series. It handles two SIP accounts on two line keys, with three XML programmable soft keys and a 132 x 48 pixel monochrome LCD. Dedicated function keys (hold, transfer, conference, headset, mute, call log, message, intercom) make everyday operations immediate. HD audio is available on both handset and speakerphone, and conferencing brings together 3 participants. The phonebook holds up to 1,000 contacts and the call history 200 records. The two switched 10/100 Ethernet ports let you chain the computer, with QoS support. The RJ9 headset port accepts Plantronics EHS. This model is powered by the supplied 5 V adapter and sits on the desk or on the wall with the included mounting kit.

Use and tips
The GXP1620 is the phone to choose when the network is not PoE and you want a simple desk phone: individual office, workshop, practice, small shop, guest room. It connects to an IP PBX or a SIP provider and is configured through the web interface. Plug in the supplied power adapter, as this model is not powered through the network cable. An RJ9 or Plantronics EHS headset relieves desks that spend a lot of time on the phone. If your network sockets are PoE, prefer the GXP1625, identical with built-in PoE; for BLF keys and Gigabit, the GXP1628.

What is the difference between GXP1620 and GXP1625?
The GXP1625 has built-in PoE 802.3af and can be powered through the network cable on a PoE switch. The GXP1620 runs only on the supplied 5 V power adapter. Telephony features are identical.
