Description
The Snom D385 is the flagship of the D3 series. Its large 4.3-inch color TFT display tilts to 6 positions and gives access to call lists, address books and functions, while a second black-and-white display labels 12 physical keys with multicolor LEDs: 48 BLF functions, speed dials or call forwards are spread over four switchable pages, with no paper labels. The phone handles 12 SIP accounts and 12 simultaneous calls, a 1,000-contact phonebook and HD voice thanks to its built-in DSP (G.722, G.711, G.729A, G.723.1, G.726 and GSM codecs). Built-in Bluetooth 4.0 takes a wireless headset; the USB port takes a USB headset or a Wi-Fi dongle with Plug & Play. The two-port Gigabit switch connects the computer and PoE powers the phone over the network cable. IPv6, OpenVPN and expansion modules are supported.

Use and tips
The D385 is meant for desks that handle many calls and watch the status of many colleagues: executive assistants, reception, the switchboard of a practice or a small business. Its 48 self-labeling keys and large tilting display save you from flipping through PBX pages, and built-in Bluetooth lets you use a wireless headset without a dongle. On a PoE switch, no power adapter is needed. Snom A100 (USB) and A310 (wired) headsets are available as accessories. If Bluetooth must be excluded, choose the D385N.
