Description
With its two SIP lines, the Snom D120 raises the bar for entry-level IP phones. Its backlit black-and-white graphic display, 132 x 64 pixels, clearly shows call information and features, and four programmable, context-sensitive function keys assist navigation. The phone handles up to four simultaneous calls and a 250-entry phonebook. Its two 10/100 Ethernet ports let you connect the computer behind the phone, and PoE 802.3af class 1 power removes the need for a power adapter; a 5 V adapter can be used where no PoE switch is available. The RJ-4P4C jack takes a wired headset, the handset is hearing aid compatible (HAC) and a wall-mount kit is available as an option. Management goes through the web interface.

Use and tips
The D120 suits desks that make and take calls without advanced features: individual office, workshop, technical room, hotel room, meeting room. Two SIP accounts and four simultaneous calls cover everyday needs, and the 250-entry phonebook is enough for a standard desk. Connected to a PoE switch, it needs no power adapter; otherwise plan a 5 V adapter sold separately. For wall installation, add the D120 wall-mount kit; for headset work, the RJ-4P4C jack accepts the Snom A310 headsets.

How is it powered?
Through the network cable (PoE 802.3af, class 1) when connected to a PoE switch. Without PoE, use a 5 V power adapter, not included in the box and sold separately.
