Description
The Grandstream DP722 builds on the DP720 and adds the features expected from a field handset. It registers on the Grandstream DP750, DP752 and DP755 DECT IP base stations, with 10 lines and 10 SIP accounts (20 with the DP755). The 1.8-inch color TFT display (128 x 160 pixels) comes with a 23-key keypad including 2 programmable keys. A configurable push-to-talk button lets you talk to a group with a single press, and one key opens a door in one touch with Grandstream's GDS series of facility access devices. HD audio is available on the handset, the speakerphone and the 3.5 mm headset jack, 3-way conferencing starts from the handset and the device is hearing aid compatible (HAC). The lithium-ion battery delivers 20 hours of talk time and 250 hours of standby. Removable belt clip, software and firmware updates over the air.

Use and tips
The DP722 is meant for shops, warehouses, workshops and healthcare facilities where staff move around all day: the belt clip keeps it within reach, push-to-talk replaces a walkie-talkie to reach the team, and HAC compatibility eases use with a hearing aid. It requires a Grandstream DP750, DP752 or DP755 base station connected to the IP PBX, sold separately. For a larger display, 40 hours of talk time and motion sensors, see the DP730; for an IP67 waterproof handset, the DP735.
