Why choose the genuine Ricoh IM C400 toner cartridge
The 842608 is a genuine Ricoh toner. The powder is matched to the fuser and speed of these printers: sharp text, even solids, proper fusing from the first page, and a cartridge recognized immediately (levels shown, no error message). Colors stay consistent from one cartridge to the next.
The other colors of the series
The 842608 comes in the following colors, ordered separately as each one wears out: 842374 (black), 842375 (cyan), 842376 (magenta). On a color printer each color runs out at its own pace; replace only the empty one.
Printers compatible with the 842608
The 842608 is compatible with the following model (manufacturer data):
- IM C400F
Check the exact reference of your printer (label or Information menu); suffixes are variants of the same series and generally use the same consumables. If in doubt, send us the exact model.
Page yield
8,000 pages (manufacturer data, about 5% coverage). Graphics or photo-heavy pages reduce the actual yield. The cost per page shown next to the price is calculated from the current price and this yield.
Installation
Tool-free replacement: open the cover, remove the used cartridge, take the new one out of its bag, rock it gently to distribute the toner, remove the protections, then insert until it clicks. The printer recognizes the cartridge. The used cartridge is recycled through the manufacturer's take-back program or your local collection.
Use and tips
The 842608 suits intensive or shared use: the cartridge (8,000 pages) lasts over 2 years at 300 pages per month and about 8 months at 1,000 pages per month.
Store the cartridge in its packaging, flat, away from light and humidity, and unpack it only when installing. At the "Low" alert, order: the printer keeps printing until the replace message. Genuine cartridges preserve the printer's warranty.
